About Dave Brimlow
I started playing bass in 1968 (at 13) and I've been playing guitar since 1972 (when I first heard Allman Brothers Live at the Fillmore). I always had a heart for the blues but played in Rock bands for most of my career (including most of my work as a studio guitarist in NYC, as well) .
I stopped playing professionally in 1983 and soon ended up a real estate property management executive. Then I heard Stevie Ray Vaughn's song "Say What" in '89. I dusted off the old LesPaul and started playing for fun again - vowing to at least keep my chops somewhat alive.
In 1997 I started my own Commercial Real Estate firm in Manhattan and a year later, I became the alternate guitarist for NJ's "Herd o' Blues" for a year or two. Lost my real estate company on 9/11, got a job as a webmaster, and in September 2003 bought Cakewalk Music Creator, Sound Forge 6.0 & Acid 4.0.
My musical Influences:
